The module integrates with the original Volkswagen multimedia system and can be controlled using the factory touchscreen, original control knobs and your connected phone.
Navigation, music, calls, messages and supported mobile applications can be accessed directly through the original display. The factory multimedia menu remains available and can be opened again whenever required.
When reverse gear is selected, the system automatically returns to the original parking-sensor or factory rear-view camera display.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are added without replacing the RNS510 display. The original menu, touchscreen controls, parking information and factory multimedia functions remain available.
Connect a compatible iPhone wirelessly through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth or use the optional wired USB connection.

The module supports a wide range of compatible aftermarket parking-camera systems. The original factory camera or parking-sensor display also remains available.
This module is designed for Volkswagen vehicles equipped with the compatible original RNS510 multimedia system.

Suitable for compatible Volkswagen vehicles produced approximately between 2006 and 2013 and equipped with the original RNS510 multimedia system.
The RNS510 system requires an additional video interface board to be installed behind or inside the original multimedia display.
Because the multimedia unit must be removed and the interface board fitted, the physical installation is not a simple external plug-and-play installation.
The AUX audio source must be available in the original Volkswagen multimedia menu.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto sound is transmitted through the AUX source. The module will not provide sound when AUX is unavailable or inactive.
When AUX is already active, additional multimedia programming is not normally required.
When AUX is not shown in the original multimedia menu, it must be activated through vehicle programming before the module can operate correctly.
The module connects to the original RNS510 multimedia system while retaining the factory screen, original controls and vehicle functions.
Installation requires removal of the multimedia unit, fitting the additional video interface board and connecting the supplied module wiring.
After installation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be used wirelessly through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth or through the optional USB connection. The original Volkswagen multimedia menu remains available whenever required.
