Keep the factory screen and familiar iDrive controls while adding wireless smartphone functions without routing audio through the analogue AUX input.

The Android Auto Phone app supports hands-free calls, recent-call access and contact search through the car interface. Google voice control can place calls while the phone stays out of the driver’s hands.

Telegram can provide supported messaging functions through Android Auto, including spoken notifications and voice replies. Availability depends on the phone, app version and Android Auto support.
The interface connects to the BMW optical ring and uses the CD-changer audio channel. This avoids the analogue AUX connection used by many standard retrofit modules.

The MOST version uses the orange optical cable instead of a standard analogue AUX lead.

The optical ring must remain complete for the original BMW audio system to operate correctly.
The module uses the existing BMW multimedia display instead of replacing it with an aftermarket screen. The dashboard, screen housing and original iDrive controller remain in place.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto appear directly on the factory display, while the original BMW iDrive menu can be reopened whenever vehicle settings, FM radio or factory multimedia functions are needed.
The interface is controlled through the original iDrive rotary controller, steering-wheel buttons or connected phone.
Compatibility depends on the original iDrive system and production date. System transitions can overlap, so the original CIC menu and controller should always be checked before ordering.
Check the appearance of the original iDrive menu and controller. CIC uses the later list-style menu with a higher-resolution interface than CCC, but it does not use the tile-style NBT EVO menu.

Use the original menu design to confirm CIC and exclude the earlier CCC and later NBT systems.

Example of the original BMW CIC display retained after installation of the MOST interface.
The MOST module uses the BMW CD-changer audio channel. The required preparation depends on whether the vehicle already has a factory CD changer.
The MOST interface uses the CD-changer source. Returning to FM radio closes the smartphone-interface image and audio channel.
For radio listening inside Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, use an online-radio application such as TuneIn.
Operate Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through the original iDrive rotary controller, steering-wheel buttons or connected phone.
The original BMW menu remains available whenever vehicle settings, FM radio or factory multimedia functions are required.
Selecting reverse gear automatically returns the display to the original rear camera or parking-sensor information.
Compatible optional front and rear cameras can also be connected to the interface.
The module is not suitable for CCC, NBT or NBT EVO. Confirm the original iDrive menu before ordering.
Also check whether CDC coding is active and whether a factory CD changer must be bypassed with the optical loop.
Wireless Apple CarPlay works with supported iPhones running iOS 10 or newer.
Wireless Android Auto works with most supported Android phones running Android 10 or newer. Huawei devices using Android 10 / EMUI 10 require a USB connection.
The module retains the compatible original BMW parking display and automatically switches to it when reverse gear is selected.
This video demonstrates installation of the MOST Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interface together with a rear-view camera in a BMW X5 E70 equipped with CIC.
This module adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to compatible BMW vehicles equipped with CIC while retaining the original display, iDrive controller and dashboard appearance.
Audio is transferred through the MOST fibre-optic network rather than the analogue AUX input. The original BMW menu, steering-wheel controls, parking sensors and compatible camera functions remain available.
Before ordering, confirm the original CIC system and the vehicle’s CDC configuration. If a factory CD changer is installed, it will be bypassed and no longer available. Professional installation and any required CDC coding are recommended.
Cheaper does not always mean better. Not all CarPlay solutions are the same.
The real difference becomes clear when price is not the only factor, but also
experience, professional installation, and reliable support when you need it.
