Press and hold the iDrive MENU button for approximately three seconds to switch between the screen system and the original BMW interface.
The original BMW menu remains controlled using the iDrive controller; touchscreen operation applies to CarPlay and Android Auto.
Compatible original parking sensors and factory front or rear cameras remain supported after installation.
Optional aftermarket front, rear or 360° camera systems can also be connected, with automatic reverse switching.
The selected screen must match the original BMW system. In transition-year vehicles, inspect the LVDS plug: 4-pin = CIC; 6-pin = NBT.
A working AUX source is required because CarPlay and Android Auto sound is transmitted through the vehicle's AUX channel.
Apps cannot be downloaded or installed directly. YouTube, Netflix, AirPlay and Screen Mirroring are unavailable.
The screen is designed for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and access to the retained original BMW menu.
Ask for directions, make calls, dictate messages and choose music while keeping your attention on the road.

The original BMW iDrive menu, controller, steering-wheel buttons, vehicle settings, parking sensors and compatible cameras remain available. Audio is transmitted through the vehicle's AUX input.
The screen does not support direct app installation, YouTube, Netflix, AirPlay or Screen Mirroring. Before ordering, confirm CIC or NBT, inspect the LVDS plug in transition-year vehicles and test the AUX source.
Cheaper does not always mean better. Not all CarPlay solutions are the same.
The real difference becomes clear when price is not the only factor, but also
experience, professional installation, and reliable support when you need it.
