A 52-pin connector requires the optional AK/VW/ISOMQB cable. A 40-pin or 36-pin vehicle with an original reversing camera requires ICE/SS/VWCAN01 to retain the camera.

The system is optimised for wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, GPS support and USB multimedia rather than direct installation of Android applications.
