Add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a compatible Jeep, Dodge or Chrysler while retaining the original Uconnect multimedia screen, factory controls and original interior appearance.
Navigation, music, calls, messages and supported applications such as Google Maps, Waze, Sygic, Apple Maps, Spotify, Apple Music, WhatsApp, Deezer and Podcasts are displayed directly on the original Uconnect screen.
The interface is controlled using the original touchscreen, steering-wheel controls, vehicle buttons and connected phone. The original parking system remains integrated and automatically displays the rear camera or parking sensors when reverse gear is selected.
The module adds Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, screen mirroring and AirPlay while preserving the original Uconnect display, factory menu, controls, cameras and parking-sensor information.
Connect a compatible phone wirelessly through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi or use the wired USB connection for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and phone charging.
Compatible with supported iPhone devices running iOS 12 or newer. Use compatible navigation, music, calls, messages and voice-control applications through the original Uconnect display.
Compatible with supported Android phones running Android 11 or newer. Wireless Android Auto requires Android 11 or a newer operating system.
Select the correct multimedia version before ordering. Compatibility is divided between Gen2 Uconnect and Gen1 Uconnect 8.4 systems.
The product is supplied in separate versions for Gen1 Uconnect 8.4 and Gen2 Uconnect systems. Select the version that matches the original multimedia system installed in the vehicle.
Model year alone is not always enough to identify the correct system. Compare the screen and controls with the product images before ordering.
The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interface is activated using an additional button or a designated steering-wheel button, depending on the vehicle and installation configuration.
The original Uconnect menu remains available and can be reopened at any time. The interface does not remove the factory multimedia functions.
The original Jeep, Dodge or Chrysler parking system remains compatible. Selecting reverse gear automatically opens the factory rear-camera or parking-sensor display.
After reversing, the system returns to the previously displayed interface.
The module connects using the supplied vehicle-specific wiring, so the original wires do not need to be cut or soldered.
Additional multimedia-system programming is not required. Installation still requires access to the original multimedia unit and correct cable routing.
The module retains the original rear-camera and parking-sensor display and supports an optional aftermarket front-view camera.
The USB interface supports compatible music and video files, including MP3, MP4, AVI, MKV and RMVB formats. Product information specifies video playback support up to 720p.
The original Uconnect screen remains in place, preserving the dashboard appearance and factory multimedia functions.
